Doris 'Granny D' Haddock, a New Hampshire woman who walked across the country at age 89 to promote campaign finance reform and later waged a quixotic campaign for the US Senate, has died. She was 100.

God bless Granny D. I remember when she did her walk and I have her book. She believed in campaign finance reform enough to walk across country and was an inspiration to many.

Now, the Supreme Court of five fools can't even get off their a**es and they put to waste whatever good people like Granny D worked toward.

What an inspiring woman! She really did make an impression on me when I watched a documentary about her. I actually came to understand what campaign finance reform was all about!

I remember the 2004 race she ran and, to me, ran a very good race. In my mind she would have won had she the endorsement of the Party.

I've read a couple of Granny D's speeches. Everyone should read them. It wasn't just her spunk and determination. That woman had a powerful intellect and a solid understanding of how democracy must work.

I had the pleasure of meeting Granny D some years back. What a spry energetic woman she was. Lovely person. I hope that I will age as gracefully.

RIP Granny, you will be missed
