Martin Chulov reports: "At least four people have been killed in an early-morning raid by security forces on Pearl Square, the focal point of anti-government demonstrations in Bahrain, sparking street battles with riot police. Armoured trucks have been seen in central Manama and key roads are blocked by security forces. The crackdown follows a dramatic and violent turn in three days of protests calling for widespread reform within Bahrain's ruling minority. Dozens of wounded protesters were being taken to hospitals across the city on Thursday morning."

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.
General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.
Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Shooting people with the shotguns - how many eyes were taken.
People and their bosses should be put to prison for life for killing up to million in the Iraq/Afghanistan.
And fool Powell? any child knew that he lied - take him to court and pay Iraq widows.
And it is too little too late - our diplomats are useless - do not see WIKI leaks about bad situation in Egypt. And Clinton even glorified Bahrain as a model for the Middle East in December 2010!
They wanted to attack Iran ... wars solve internal problems ... marshal law = USrael democracy.
