Tim Dickinson writes: "Here's the curious thing about their hawkish swagger: In August of 2009 - not even two years ago - McCain, Lieberman, Graham traveled to Tripoli to shake the bloody hand of the freedom-depriving dictator they now want to assassinate."

RSN Special Coverage: Egypt's Struggle for Democracy

Comments

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

A few corrections are needed. It is not Qaddafi's hands that are bloody. It is rather the hands of the named senators -- McCain, Lieberman, Graham. In the last 10 years, the US has murdered worldwide probably more than 5 million people and destroyed the lives of another 50 million, all with the great support of these three senators. Hitler's top advisors could not be worse than these three. They met with Qaddafi in order to secure oil concessions for their paymasters in Exxon, BP, Chevron and the rest. There is not a more blood-thirsty crew on the face of the earth than the US senate. The psychopaths in the Pentagon do the killing and the senate postures before cameras in full support.

All the world knows this. It is only Americans who ever consider for a moment that people like McCain, Lieberman, or Graham are not murderous psychopaths. Zionist Joe Lieberman, the senator from Israel, may be the most odious of the crew.

Now with retrospective - the CIA was sure already on the ground plotting "freedom fighter" revolution to take over Libyan oil by force - with brotherly Egypt and Qatar.
The Civil War in Libya is NOT for any government/democratic institutions - like university, court. It is for control of OIL export port of Berga with NATO air cover Afghanistan style operation of Northern/Eastern Warlords liberating Kabul/Tripoli.

Lieberman, McCain & Graham have never met an issue they couldn't flip/flop on as long as it assured their continued place at the table of government largesse. True moral and ethical values have never been more than talking points on the campaign trail for any of them.

"the homecoming of a man with American blood on his hands — the terrorist convicted in the PanAm bombing, whom Scottish authorities would soon release under dubious medical auspices. "

The only thing dubious here was the trial and conviction of al Magrahi. All the evidence presented against him was fabricated and perjured. The Scots let him out of jail in order to avoid the embarrassment of an appeal that would have proved the US gave false evidence to the Scottish prosecutor who was too timid to tell the US its evidence was worthless.

Libya had nothing to do with terrorist act that blew up Pan Am Flight 103. Because of the US vendetta against Qaddafi, we will not probably never know the truth of who actually did it.

Highly elastic ethics are characteristic of many politicians. Ditto situational ethics.

Most, like Bush and Cheney are simply amoral.

A boat carrying as many as 300 terrified migrants from Libya capsized in rough seas off the Italian coast early Wednesday, as rescuers, hampered by strong winds, struggled to get to them.
Tunisian Migrants ... US/NATO policy killed these people - hundreds of war ships and planes are in Mediterranean to KILL - NOT to protect civilians.
OBAMA lies makes me SICK
