CNN reports: "The US Environmental Protection Agency is increasing its nationwide monitoring of radiation as two states reported very low levels of radiation in milk. The agency said Wednesday it is boosting its monitoring of radiation in milk, precipitation, drinking water, and other outlets. It already tracks radiation in those potential exposure routes through an existing network of stations across the country."

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Is this from Japan or our own? It isn't like it has a trademark symbol. But thanks GE and others. Thanks for making your plants have to let off steam with particles in it. Thanks TMI, Berwick, Peach Bottom,

And we trust the EPA, right? The same folk who said that the air around Ground Zero was safe to breathe and just clean up all that dust with a wet rag. Yeah, right.

There is no safe level of radiation. I repeat, there is no safe level of radioatin. Radiation is cumulative.
Do not believe the media, the government, or the medical advisers. They will all lie to protect the nuke industry.

Ingesting milk tainted with radioactive particles is compared to chest X-ray? Consuming radioactive particles is just like getting a chest X-ray? Really...? Seafood from the Gulf is OK too? I am not reassured at all. This is a massive disaster and should be the final chapter for nuclear power anywhere in the world. NO NEW NUKES. Phase out all existing starting now!
