"AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka says 'Palinism' may become the new McCarthyism if the former Alaska governor continues to use her position of power to incite anger and frustration in her followers. 'She can't use loose language that foments ... that anger to hatred, or that action to violence,' says Mr. Trumka."

Union bosses? Sounds like 50's and 60's when there were Mafia takeovers and racketeers running some of the biggest unions. RFK went after them and paid the price. Union power is not what is was and Trumka is right. Palin is stuck in a 50's McCarthy mindset. She has no decency and cares about nothing but getting as much attention for herself as she can. She knows where the mother lode of anger, discontent and resentment leads and she will mine it as long as we let her. I really wish we could hear more from Trumka and much less of Palin.

Palin is not only dangerous to America but to the repugnican party. You can't fake her kind of stupidity. As she becomes more and more the voice of the self-pitying right expect them to be more and more frustrated as they stand on the outside looking in. Democratic incompetence and disloyalty to their base is the only thing the right has going for them. The repugs will make gains in 2010. Don't expect them to last more than a few years. As the repugs dominated politics for the past 4 1/2 decades (since civil rights legislation of the 60s), Democrats still managed to win a few short term victories. Demographically , the tables have turned. repugs will manage short-term victories on the road to being dominated over the next several decades the way the Democrats were since the 60s. Of course, my prediction will only come true if Democrats GROW A PAIR! Mooselini and any repug gains in 2010 are just the last throws of might from a dying dinosaur. In 2012, REMEMBER what the repugs did in 2010 and 2011!

Palin is nothing but a money whore and has the sense of a goose. I wish I never had to hear that shill voice again and she would go back to Ak. but they don't want her either!!!

"She can't use loose language that foments... that anger to hatred, or that action to violence," says Mr. Trumka. She CAN, and DOES.

I seldom encounter more hate language per sentence than what appears in the reader responses in RSS. Shame on you all. Cannot empirical evidence and rigorous reason appear at least occasionally here?

What kind of "empirical evidence" do you want?!? Her inability to handle to detractors so she fires them, hence trooper-gate; perhaps you'd prefer her complete lack of knowledge of current, no that's wrong, of all events hence, Couric-gate; maybe it's her insatiable thirst for a wardrobe paid for by the people hence clothes-gate. Maybe it's even the fact that she can't finish a job(an elected office no less!) before deciding there are bigger fish to fry and more money to be made by selling herself to America as the newest version of apple pie. I don't buy it. What do you need, John? How about someone to turn off the recorder in your head playing "Drill, baby, drill.) over and over again?
