Here is a good rundown of seats in play. There are some good Democrats on this list that liberals and progressives should rally around.

Yes. Russ Feingold co-sponsored the McCain-Feingold campaign finance reform bill, showing he is able to work across the aisle and was interested in saving our democracy from corporate interests. More significant, I believe, he was one of only two senators who voted against the Patriot Act back in 2001, showing he did not want American citizens spied on by the U.S. government and was willing to put his seat on the line for it.

As an Illinoian I'd like to get to know Mark Kirk a little better, but, unfortunately his story has yet to be re-written?

There are a few real McCoy investigative reporters left in today's 'mess' print media. Please, good journalists, get to work on seeing which states have laid the ground work for election fraud (i.e. Diebold or Diebold related electronic count and vote machines, no paper trails, etc.)

We've had a coup de etat (bloodless takeover) here in the U.S. of (greed and power) A.(ddiction). And, in keeping with the ways of all addicts, our evil villianaires will do and have done anything and everything to keep their fortunes rolling in (i.e. constant warmode, bank/Wall Street mass fraud, etc.). Pres. Obama's nice guy, "let's negotiate" m.o. has merely enabled the addicts.

Time for we the sheeple to take off all blinders, get real tough and smart, vote en masse to never again return to the Bushwhacked years, and begin the harder than hard work it will take to...
UNDO THE COUP!

Who are you, ritaague? ... Brilliant, you do see it clearly, and I rarely see or hear anyone speaking the truth as you do above. They stole 2 elections and got away with it, and nothing has been done about it; Rove is still there waiting in the wings and he knows who to call to do it quietly again even if we do get out the vote and keep the Repukes out... they simply steal enough to win and no one is the wiser. Is this country really so stupid as to put back into power the people who caused this economic debacle and has blocked every effort to fix it.

As long as the Democrats are playing defense, things do not look good. The Republicans are so much better at offense than Democrats because they have a bottomless bag of dirty tricks and never let up pulling them out. Democrats stay so busy fielding those lobs of mud, cleaning off and they never see the next one coming...splat! Dems better figure out how to mount an offense, stop worrying about the mud. Do what's right for the country and let it all hang out. If Republicans are bold in lies, Dems should be bolder about telling the truth. There's the problem. They have problems telling the truth confidently and boldly.

Barbara Boxer has been a terrific senator from CA. She was one of the Very few Senators who did not bow to the pressure, looked at the facts for herself, and Voted No on the Iraq War.
She's not afraid to take a stand or to take charge, and she does her homework and can speak informatively about the progressive positions she advocates.

The truth, the people will decide. The sad facts, most of the people in the USA are not educated in politics, and that is why Republicans are taking advantage to address their tickets in news medias, and other right wing communication outlets.

Apathy, however, rules during the off-years elections. But it's a test or a measurement of how educated the USA is come November.

The Democratic Party sat on their behinds for two whole years knowing full well what the right wing conservatives, the GOP, the repugblican party was up to, and they let it happen. Of, course, hoping for "partisan" support was no help at all!

If the Republicans will ever have a 60 minority seat in the Senate, imagine what they can do?

This is one time where Democratic rank and file cannot say the people let them down, it was in fact, the rank & file democratic party members that let the people down.

That is the penalty, Democrats, will have to pay come November.
