We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

I cannot imagine that Terry Norman does not keep up on Kent State investigations, so I hope he will come forward now and present his account.

Hoping Terry Norman will come forward has the same chance as having a cop or politition tell the truth. None at all. He will not admit that he is responsible for causing the National Guard to murder, nor will the govt. investigate to find the truth. A sad day for American Freedom.

Fat chance you'll ever see Norman come forward with the truth of how 4 students were killed and 9 others wounded-one with paralyzing results. In fact, the government official who sent he national guard (armed) onto the campus was James Rhodes, governor of Ohio, who just two days before the killings called the protestors " worse than Brownshirts and the Communist elements"and also "the worst type of people...in America." Four years later, Rhodes was reelected as governor and went on two serve eight more years, his first eight being from 1963 to l971.
