We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. It may be intuitive but I have observed over the years that the Republicans never win elections or legislative battles the Democrats lose them. These kind of amoral activities whether legal or not degrade significantly the collegial relationship of legislators of both parties and cast a pall of "dirty tricks" over the whole political spectrum. It is not good for the legislature and it is not good for the state. It occurs precisely because being on the wrong side of most questions and never winning because they are, requires these kind of egregious tactics to make sure the Democrats lose,

Well, if you can't win honestly.. Cheat and see who stops you and put them away too. It's the GOPs way and the Pentagons.. Or has any one noticed? We did when they had the draft.. One reason there's no draft any more.. Draftees tell... We need more people to come forth and sorry to say, put your life on the line and speak up... And whoever Al is above. This country swings back and forth like a clock pendulum. The Republicans have to act as quickly as possible to dismantle everything that they can, so that when they are out of power, the Democrats can spend all of their time trying to put everything back. And on it goes.
The power to stop this stupidity is in our hands. We have to stop it and keep it in check with our involvement. We don't want to win a battle, but lose the war.

THESE are the reprehensible tactics of the Repugnicans! Yes, an alliteration to repugnant. A new word was brought into our vocabulary, "swiftboating", to describe the IMMORAL LIES and defamation of Kerry, a true war hero in the mold of JFK's PT-109 episode in WW II. They KNEW it was total lies and that there wouldn't be time to effectively counter such a heinous act. TRULY, IF THAT ELECTION HAD HAD OUTSIDE U.N. MONITORS, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN DECLARED NULL AND VOID! People HAVE to stand up and remind themselves and each other of the countless similar lies and ugly tactics ONLY the Repugnicans have committed! From voter disenfranchisem ent to the ugliest procedural manipulations and more, WE HAVE TO EXPOSE THESE PLUTOCRATIC, BOUGHT-OUT SOB'S FOR WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW THEY ARE DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY.
