He's apologized for using the word 'retarded,' but Obama's chief of staff, once seen as the perfect strategist for the job, has become a target of criticism as the White House's agenda lags.

Rahm once again dons his tutu and tights and dances his way out of fire. Excellent political manuvering--like the Old Dodger himself.

He should hook up with Biden and get pointers on how to keep one's mouth shut in open mic situations--which is pretty much every where, every day, every time.

I wonder how many past gaffes were deleted by a preening press. They smell blood in the water, Type "O" negative, so they're starting to finally report these excesses...Excesses that would have sunk the popularity of someone like Dan Quail, GW Bush, etc. Oh wait...

I believe Mr. Limbaugh used the word "Retard" in his quote of Mr. Emmanuel. Following your logic, we should demand an apology from the LA Times for quoting Rush quoting Rahm.

Emanuel is very, very stupid. Look how horribly he botched health care reform, beginning with taking single payer off the table. He HATES liberals and constantly stiffs them. Any Republican who treated their base that way would not last a second. Get rid of him! He and others like him that Obama surrounded himself with are the reason Obama's poll numbers have dropped so far.

If Emmanuel had a boss with cojones he would be out there twisting same on recalcitrant congress persons. But President Poulet wants to be a consensus guy and keep above the fray and his patrician posture while the health bill goes south, the air gets worse, and the inmates on the hill run the country ragged while bedding down regularly with the money guys from all industries. Bad cess.
I am getting the same sinking feeling of good intentions badly carried out by JFK and crew before that good man's death. It took the down and dirty Johnson with a great speaker of the house as a major player to get the great society a reality rather than a promise.

Mr. Emmanuel is calling liberals like myself retarded so why should I continue to support Mr. Obama in any way. Obviously, Mr. Emmanuel and Mr. Obama, who continues to support him, do not want my support.

I believe I will start working toward removing Mr. Obama from office in 2012.

Change from one republican, GW Bush, to another, B. Obama, is not change I can believe in.
