Excerpt: "The latest challenge comes from the deteriorating situation in Libya, where the rapid advance of forces loyal to Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi threatened the defeat of rebel forces. Our natural tendency is to want to help end Qaddafi's despotic rule and to save the lives of those bravely resisting his onslaught. But it is a difficult challenge to take action that has a reasonable chance of success but that does not arouse popular - and well-founded - suspicions of neoimperial intervention."

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.
General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.
Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

Whatever will the Koch's and all their Koch suckers, and Bush's and their Bushwhackers, who have made their fortunes off of oil, oil, oil, and war, war, war since WWI, do if this country of ours, in which they've pulled off their evil coup d'etat, goes into actual peace mode?
Guess they'll have to come up with "another Pearl Harbour", as neo-cons did after wishing for exactly that (it's verifiable) in the late '90's, and then coming up with 9/11 shortly after their low I.Q. puppet whore, George W., was scammed into office.
Time for we the sheeple to wake up to all the karlroving, and work like hell (thank you, great Wisconsin activists, for showing us the way) to UNDO THE COUP, and yell out, over and over again: VILLAINAIRES, GO TO HELL!!
The right context in which to see these events is Bush's executive order authorizing the CIA to operate in 80 nations in order to bring about regime change. In Libya, the CIA working through and arming Mujahadeen mercenaries, Eqyptian army, and Libyans still loyal to King Idris is causing the violence. If violence is a reason to bomb someone, then these rebels should be bombed.
Remember Philip Agee called the CIA Capitalism's Invisible Army. It is invisible because the press is too cowardly to mention it. The press like the Nation twist history into knots in order to avoid mentioning the CIA.
