With everything even more hopeless for the poor - no new help for mothers or unwanted children, I believe "Pro Life" should be renamed the Forced Birth movement. It disrespects women, live children, other's Spiritual beliefs, privacy, freedom and the USA.
Surely, I will no longer have to pay for Capitol punishment or War and weapons which I oppose and regard as terrible sins against Life. And definitely no more Viagra prescriptions.

Abortions will occur whether the anti-abortion folks want it that way or not. There is nothing they can do to stop it. Nothing. As long as there are women who decide that their bodies belong to themselves first, decisions to abort or not will be made. The ONLY issue is if these abortions will be safe or not, and, legal or not, there will be doctors who, on principle, will provide those safe abortions. There is nothing that the right can do about this. NOTHING.

It takes courage to take a stand, doesn't it? Especially if you are a compassionate doctor who believes a woman's decision is her own.
The so called 'pro-life' movement actually believes in pro-birth NOT pro-life. Which of these murderers will volunteer to adopt these severely handicapped children, who were forced to be born, and care for them? What's next? To try to glean monetary support from an already emotionally fragile, possibly destitute female?
YES, it takes courage to take a stand. Thank-you to all doctors who will help the women who are so in need.

Many of these violent anti-abortion extremists are simple sociopaths looking to have their violent impulses "legitimized". People who truly care for children want them born into loving families and into societies that will safeguard their welfare after birth. This would require higher taxes than these nimrods are willing to pay. Aside from that, to hand over reproductive rights to ANY government should give One pause - who's to say that after making abortion illegal, that the same people might - years later - make having more than 2 children illegal as well?

The author talks about the deeply felt moral conviction of the supporters on each side of the debate. Only one side has breathing human beings dying (so far)and one side has human beings bombing and shooting and beating them outside clinics. I know these are the insane fringe members, of course, but that's not even mentioned. There are a lot more deeply, principled legislators screaming "baby-killer" than "women-killer", too.
