Read on the OilDrum that the Schlumberger crew sent to test the well's cement job was prevented by BP management from doing the tests. They called their own heli and evacuated the rig a few hours before it blew. Curious how Schlumberger has vanished from the story - you'd think the Congressional investigators might like to hear their opinion.
