We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.

General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.

Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

The very first St. Patrick's Day Parade on 5th Ave, NYC had nothing to do with St Paddy. It was the Irish letting the people uptown, whose homes they cleaned and factories they worked in, just how many of them there were.
A General Strike in the state of Wisconsin would send a message that the boys in the legislature know nothing about how a state is really run day to day . Workers make it happen legislators don't.

jwb: Totally agree only I suggest we enlarge the arena. It's time for a general strike on the NATIONAL level! The powers that be are trying to roll us over union by union, state by state. Time for ALL working people in the US to stand up and be counted if we want to salvage any gains made during the New Deal.
