The report begins: "Glenn Beck calls her one of the most dangerous people in the world. 'I'm about 5-foot-6,' Frances Fox Piven tells Weekends on All Things Considered host Guy Raz. 'I'm 78 years old. My hair is partly grey. I'm quite thin.'"

We are concerned about a recent drift towards vitriol in the RSN Reader comments section. There is a fine line between moderation and censorship. No one likes a harsh or confrontational forum atmosphere. At the same time everyone wants to be able to express themselves freely. We'll start by encouraging good judgment. If that doesn't work we'll have to ramp up the moderation.
General guidelines: Avoid personal attacks on other forum members; Avoid remarks that are ethnically derogatory; Do not advocate violence, or any illegal activity.
Remember that making the world better begins with responsible action.

It is especially repulsive that he should pick on Ms. Pivens, a senior citizen or anyone for that matter. He pollutes our media with the toxic waste that slings at the American Public.
Enough Already.
MSNBC - stop referencing the 07 Obama message about marching with the protestors - one of those crazy GOP people working for the Gov will probably shoot him and then we'd have Boner as VP -- heading to President -- UGH
Whenever he advances some conspiracy theory about the left destroying the country he fails to understand that if we were really that smart and powerful and all encompassing he and Rupert Murdoch would already be inhabiting jail cells in the Peoples Republic of the United States Prison.
If lefties could do even one third of what they are accused of things would be a great deal better in this nation. Ms. Piven ought to appear on Glenn's show and demonstrate she is not a monster and has no means of hurting anybody. Then the real source of the hurt would be truly visible for all to see.
an actor willing to spew hateful rhetoric for the almighty buck ... it's about BOTH of them ...
Like his hero, Ronald Reagon? His masters, who hide behind his vicious mouth, must love the effect he delivers for them. They have other clowns in the closet too. Some bring out the anger in the audience, and others bring out the stupidity.
I learn something new every day. I would have thought that, without Murdoch and other providers of wingnut welfare, the likes of Beck, David Hitch (editorial cartoonist of butter sculptures), Charles Krauthammer, David Limbaugh, Michael Reagan, Bruce Tinsley (perpetrator of "Mallard Fillmore"), and others of much ilk would be on street corners loudly repeating the latest broadcast from Radio Free Neptune, live and direct as it came in on their dental work.
Lest we begin to give him any credit, might he conceivably have a research staff that share a few crumbs of the cake?
The problem with this is, if all the sunny side people ignored him he would still get the rapt attention of those on the dark side. They would listen to his lies and see them as truth.
So is it best to ignore him as an ignorant gnat or to draw attention to his lies?
