We could also say that it's raining oil throughout the country considering that oil spills from auto, truck, gas stations and auto shops will leave oil on the ground and rain will wash it into the gutters and sewers. The worst is oil spills from tankers and off-shore drilling. Something to think about.

Of course it's raining oil. They're burning it off in the Gulf and the rain brings it back down. See the documentary "Crude", where this has already happened in Central America from Texico burning off 'oil pits'. It's polluted all drinking water in the area. It's the real life Avatar right here on earth. Expect more.
